Team Ontario

Team Ontario will compete at the 3rd National Provincial Championships in Montreal in June and July 2024.

We will select 15U and 19U teams.

Depending on the depth of athletes in Ontario, we will select multiple teams in specific categories (note that the 19U team(s) will include many 17U athletes).

Team Ontario Eligibility

• 15U athletes must be playing in the OPL. Playing in the NCL is recommended.
• 19U athletes must be members of their respective RDC and playing in the NCL in their respective age category (Team Ontario eligibility only requires athletes to play in their respective age category).

Team Ontario Selection Process

1. Athletes must be nominated by their club coaches for their respective RDC programming
2. The Ontario Water Polo High Performance Advisor (HPA) will be the primary scout and selector for Team Ontario
3. Given the ongoing development of 15U athletes, club coaches will be provided the long list of athletes who are being considered for selection prior to the long list announcement
4. OWP will publish program plans and teams based on the timelines in ‘important dates’
