Ontario Water Polo is pleased to announce the distribution of the Covid-19 Relief and Recovery Funds. As mentioned at the annual general meeting in February, OWP received funds from Water Polo Canada along with all other PSO’s to help during these trying times. The OWP Board of Directors has decided to pass all of the funds along to clubs. The intent of these funds is for clubs to use in whatever manner best suits their need (for example: to undertake special recruitment initiatives; help offset increased costs due to reduced pool capacity; provide virtual training for members, or; reimburse athletes).
The amount received by each club is based on WPC fees paid in the 2019-2020 season. OWP staff will be in contact with clubs shortly to determine best way to provide the funds .
