2010 National Club Championship Coach Certification Reminder
Water Polo Canada would like to remind all of its coaches, Head Coach and Assistant Coach alike, of their necessary coaching certification for the 2010 season. All coaches are required to have successfully completed the Competition- Introduction module of Making Ethical Decisions (MED) - all coaches must be MED “certified”.
MED is not offered as a coach education course through Water Polo Canada as it is a multi-sport module that is offered through the Provincial Sport Organization. A coach can go directly to their Provincial Sport Organization, or through their Provincial Water Polo Organization, to sign up for a workshop. Once a coach has taken the workshop they must go online (www.coach.ca), and click on the Making Ethical Decisions-Online Evaluation button in the Training and Certification section of the Coaching Association of Canada web site, to complete the evaluation and certification process. Once a coach completes the online evaluation they will receive an email confirmation immediately, and should also print the certificate shown on the computer screen. If a coach so chooses, they may skip the MED workshop and go directly to the certification process, which is the online evaluation (www.coach.ca).
Water Polo Canada will be verifying the certification status of all coaches listed on a National Club Championship roster. If you are unsure of the certification process, or need further information regarding MED and the “New” NCCP, please do not hesitate to contact us at office@waterpolo.ca.
2011 National Club Championship Coach Certification Update
Moving forward, we would like to advise all clubs and their coaching staffs that in the 2011 National Club Championship season coaches must have the following NCCP certification as per the National Club Championship Handbook:
Ø All coaches, Head Coach and all Assistant Coaches, attending the 16U male and female events must be certified Competition – Introduction “The Practice Coach” (which includes training, evaluation, and MED online evaluation) or Level 1 certified + Level 2 Technical + MED online evaluation for the 2011 Championship season and beyond.
Ø All coaches, Head Coach and all Assistant Coaches, attending the 18U, 22U, and Senior male and female events must be trained in two (2) out of the six (6) NCCP Competition – Development multi-sport modules and successfully complete the online MED evaluation. Training workshops are organized and held by the Provincial Coaching Associations. Details about the NCCP Competition – Development coaching program can be found at www.waterpolo.ca/development.aspx.
** NB The MED online evaluation only needs to be completed once. The MED certification will remain provided the coach is active.
Rappel de la certification des entraîneurs pour les Championnats canadien de clubs 2010
Water Polo Canada voudrait rappeler à tous ses entraîneurs, entraîneur-chefs et assistant-entraîneurs compris, de la certification d’entraîneur nécessaire pour la saison 2010. Tous les entraîneurs doivent compléter avec succès le module Compétition-Introduction des Prises de Décisions Éthiques (PDE) – tous les entraîneurs doivent être “certifiés” PDE.
Le module des PDE n’est pas offert dans un cours d’entraîneur donné par Water Polo Canada, puisqu’il s’agit d’un module multidisciplinaire qui est offert par les Organisations Provinciales de Sport. Un entraîneur peut aller directement à son Organisation Provinciale de Sport, ou à travers son Organisation Provinciale de Water Polo afin de s’inscrire à un atelier. Dès que l’entraîneur ait compléter l’atelier il doit aller en ligne (www.coach.ca), et appuyer sur le titre Prises de Décisions Éthiques-Évaluation en Ligne dans la section Entraînement et Certification du site web de l’Association des Entraîneurs du Canada pour compléter le processus d’évaluation et de certification. Dès que l’entraîneur ait complété l’évaluation en ligne, il recevra un courriel de confirmation. Il devra aussi imprimer le certificat qui se trouve dans le courriel de confirmation. Si un entraîneur choisi ce parcours, il n’est pas obligé de faire l’atelier des PDE et peut directement passer au processus de certification : l’évaluation en ligne au www.coach.ca.
Water Polo Canada vérifiera le statut de certification de tous les entraîneurs affiliés à un alignement des Championnats Nationaux des Clubs. Mise à jour de la certification PNCE pour les Championnats canadien de clubs 2011
Visant le futur, nous voulons informer le personnel entraîneur qu’aux Championnats canadiens de clubs 2011 tous les entraîneurs auront besoin les certifications suivantes du PNCE, d’après le livret des Championnats canadien de clubs:
Ø Tous les entraîneurs (entraîneur-chef et adjoints) participant aux événements 16 ans et moins féminins et masculins doivent être certifiés « L’entraîneur de l’entraînement » du profil Compétition – Introduction (qui inclut la formation, évaluation et évaluation en ligne de la PDE) ou Niveau 1 certifié + Niveau 2 technique + évaluation en ligne de la PDE pour la saison des championnats 2011 et au-delà.
Ø Tous les entraîneurs (entraîneur-chef et adjoints) participant aux événements 18U, 22U et sénior féminin et masculin doivent être formés dans deux (2) des six (6) modules multisports du profil Compétition – Développement du PNCE ainsi que l’évaluation en ligne de la PDE. Des ateliers de formation sont organisés et tenus par les associations provinciales d’entraîneurs. Les détails du programme des entraineurs « Compétition – Développement » du PNCE peuvent être trouvés au www.waterpolo.ca/development.aspx.
** NB L’évaluation en ligne de la PDE doit seulement être complété une fois. La certification PDE demeurera légitime aussi longtemps que l’entraîneur est actif.
